How do I get Graphene (GFN)?

To ensure ongoing decentralization and to reward Phore holders, Graphene (GFN) will be received by anyone holding PHR in a personal wallet or in one of the exchanges that support the Airdrop.

There will be 6 Snapshots taken of the blockchain. The first of these occurred on March 14th, 2021. The second Snapshot will be taken on April 11th at 23:59 GMT. The remaining 4 Snapshots will all be taken at approximately monthly intervals (dates will be announced shortly).

How much GFN will be airdropped?

For each of the Snapshot dates, holders will be airdropped 1.66 GFN for each PHR they hold. The last snapshot will lead to a 1.7 GFN for each PHR. This will lead to a 1:10 ratio of PHR to GFN for individuals that hold PHR for all 6 snapshots.

Where will I receive my GFN tokens?

The Airdrop will take place on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC).

When will I receive my GFN tokens?

The distribution of Graphene will take place after every Snapshot once the Smart Contract has been developed, tested, and audited — this will take somewhere in the region of 2–4 weeks from now.

Once we ensure the Smart Contract is watertight, users will be able to redeem GFN tokens for any previous Snapshot, and after each Snapshot moving forward — dates currently TBA.

Why 6 Airdrops?

The first priority of the Phore and Graphene teams is protecting and preserving user funds — this isn’t limited to just security — the protection of value is a key part of this.

With members of our team having significant experience in economics, we were able to come up with a strategy that would theoretically reduce variance in terms of Phore price — this is extremely important to us, being a project who relies on budget denominated in PHR.

Airdrops historically are followed by a significant downturn in price once completed. If we can split this downturn into 6 parts, Phore has more stability in price. This has proven true so far with the price of PHR showing little variability following the first snapshot. This is good for users, and for the budget.

Why we are doing an Airdrop before Mainnet?

By using the BSC ecosystem, Graphene is exposed to one of the largest userbases in cryptocurrency. Graphene can also be traded prior to Mainnet launch, which has the potential to give us a much larger, more decentralized userbase. It also allows Graphene to establish its own market value, meaning when Graphene transitions to Mainnet, the decentralized budget will have a $USD value.

Because it’s an established ecosystem that is constantly being worked upon and contributed towards. This is the only ecosystem (aside from Ethereum) that is established enough to create a token on.

Which exchanges will support the Airdrop?

Currently, several exchanges or services have publicly stated that they will support the airdrop for their users. This includes Midas, Stakecube, and Vault Investments. We are not formally affiliated with any exchanges. So please verify with them how they will support the airdrops.

When can I trade Graphene?

Once GFN is available on the BSC users will be able to trade on Pancake Swap. The actual date this will be available is still to be announced.

How do I claim ownership of my coins (smart contract, wallet, etc)?

Tokenized Graphene will be available to qualifying parties on the Binance Smart Chain. The smart contract is currently being developed and tested. Once complete, we will provide users with instructions on how to redeem their tokens, which will entail generating the necessary proof of ownership, and then running the smart contract on BSC to redeem your tokens. At that point, you will have GFN tokens on BSC which can be traded or held there. The redemption process will be made as simple as possible.

How do I swap BSC coins for graphene main net coins?

When Graphene is live, we will have a similar process to redeem them back into native GFN coins on Graphene. We are not at the point of developing that yet, it might be slightly different since the GFN tokens need to be destroyed as they are converted. So it might be more like sending your GFN tokens to a specific address and then you will either get a voucher for GFN coins or we will find another way to issue your GFN coins based on what has been redeemed.
